Fishing

HCR guests desiring to “wet a line,” will find our reservoir teaming with trout.  Because we are working in cooperation with Trout Unlimited and the National Forest Service to restore and repopulate this area with Bonneville Cutthroat Trout, we only allow catch and release fishing at HCR.

Trout experts Don Duff and Buck Douglas are working with HCR to create the optimum environment for trout spawning and growth. Trout Unlimited's Spring 2005 magazine featured an article about their efforts in the area.  You can click on the link below to see the article.
